Just before Christmas The LPFN’s Founder, Grant Sav took his seat at the keys in the Brighton Centre and performed for thousands at the biggest party of the year, as the unstoppable Magic of Motown show steamed into town for a pre-Christmas spectacular!
Seen by over a million people, it’s no surprise that the show is one of the biggest success stories in British theatre history, even performing for Her Majesty the Queen, as special guests at the Royal Variety Performance. Grant was invited to join the show’s exceptionally talented stars for the Brighton leg of their tour and had a stellar time performing with the band! Here’s a sneaky peek of some soundcheck footage…

The word ‘Motown’ itself defines music released on, or reminiscent of, the US record label Tamla Motown.
The Tamla Motown label was both musically and historically hugely significant, as it was the first solely black-owned record company in the US. Founded in Detroit in 1959 by Berry Gordy, Tamla Motown (so called because Motown was a shortening of Motor Town – a nickname for the car manufacturing city of Detroit where it was founded) was incredibly important in popularising soul music and producing legendary artists such as the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye.
