Nick - Sax
South Coast saxophonist and composer Nick now resides in London, where he studied at the Purcell School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.
Having performed at events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and venues like the 606 Club and Grosvenor House, he has a wealth of experience in a variety of settings.
Nick received an honourable mention from Julian Joseph and Wynton Marsalis at the Essentially Ellington youth project at the Barbican and reached the semi-finals of BBC’s Young Jazz Musician of the Year.
Nick is adept on all of the saxophones and comfortable in a variety of musical settings; from session work, jazz ensembles, big bands and theatre shows, to playing at weddings and corporate functions where he has already racked up hundreds of hours of live experience, both solo and with party bands.
In recent years he has enjoyed collaborating with a number of up and coming London artists across an array of genres and looks forward to performing and releasing more of his own material.
