Karl Charity

Karl Charity – A Royal College of Music ‘old boy’ – is a talented trumpet player enjoying ever-increasing popularity as a classic jazz vocalist. As a result of recent demand, he has rapidly expanded his repertoire from Chet Baker to encompass all the great composers of ‘The American Songbook’ and iconic jazz stars both past and present. Karl Charity has many years of experience playing trumpet in London’s West End, notably and most recently as the on stage trumpeter in ‘Soul Sister’ at The Savoy Theatre in London. Karl Charity has also enjoyed a varied touring career, playing with bands as diverse as UB40 and The Joe Loss Band in Europe and South America. Karl Charity has recently performed with Tenor Sax player Renato D’Aiello and also with the multi award winning jazz singer and pianist Liane Carroll at Ronnie Scott’s, The Pheasantry in King’s Road and the intimate Pizza Express Jazz Club in the heart of Soho. Delighted by the growing interest in his performances Jazz FM have heralded Karl “An exciting new voice to watch in London”.
