Josh N - Pianist

Josh is a pianist, conductor and arranger from London. In July 2018, he graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in Classical Piano under the tutelage of Jan Loeffler DM, DML, MMus, LRAM, as well as Conducting with Daniele Rosina and Michael Seal. He has also played in performance classes for John Thwaites, Daniel Browell, Di Xiao, Robert Markham and Anthony Hewitt. In his second year, he studied Fortepiano with Sharona Joshua.

Josh always had a passion and love for musical theatre, being introduced to various West End shows at a young age by his late grandfather, as well as numerous visits to the theatre with his family. He plays a diverse assortment of music, encompassing Jazz, Classical, and Popular music. Josh has performed at various charity organisations as well as numerous functions, weddings and concerts

Born in 1995, he started piano lessons when he was five, where he discovered his passion for music when his grandparents bought him a mini keyboard. He has a distinct ability to listen to songs and play them by ear, as well as having perfect pitch.

In November 2017 he was honoured to be asked to play Keyboard 2 in a charity musical showcase concert called “West End and Bridgnorth Sings for Rupert’s Revenge” which was in aid of a young boy who is suffering with cancer. The audience comprised of 750 people plus a 200 piece choir. It was MD’d by Alfonso Casado Trigo and the concert featured West End performers such as Rob Houchen, Jeremy Secomb and Lucy Key.

Since August 2018, Josh has been resident solo pianist for P&O Cruises and Cunard Line, performing an assortment of music in various venues around the ships, as well as giving recitals and accompanying the guest choirs.

Josh is an experienced arranger and orchestrator, firstly making his debut performance in February 2018 in his one-off concert, From Hollywood to Broadway, where he showcased his abilities both as an arranger and orchestrator. Josh has also participated in various conducting masterclasses around the UK working with conductors such as Denise Ham and Rodolfo Saglimbeni. Josh is currently resident pianist at both The Savoy Thames Foyer and The Dorchester Promenade, London.
