Joe B - Pianist

Self-taught jazz pianist, Joe B plays the upbeat swinging style of 1950s mainstream / bebop, interspersed with stride, boogie and soul and inspired by piano jazz giants Oscar Peterson, Errol Garner, Art Tatum, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans and Ray Charles. He plays in the finest London hotels and clubs - The Private Members Club at The Ivy, The Dorchester, The Lansdowne Club, Claridges, The Langham and The Savoy as a lounge pianist and in jazz groups. He leads his own piano trio and performs for Royalty and A-list celebrities alike, both at home and all over the world. Joe particularly enjoys performing with singers and has developed strong arrangement and accompaniment skills in this regard, making him a sought after pianist by many of London's leading jazz singers. A founding member of jazz funk originals band, President Bongo and the Democratic Republic of Phonque, Joe led the band through a national tour, Glastonbury Festival (supporting Herbie Hancock and Roni Size on the Jazz/World stage) and a residency in Singapore.
